Who we are

Sharma Engineering Consultants Limited ("we") is a company registered in England & Wales (Company No. [00000000]) with its registered office at 6 Portland Avenue, Whitehouse, Milton Keynes MK8 1BL, UK. We are the data controller for personal information processed through this website and in the course of our consultancy business.

What we collect and why

This public website does not use contact forms, analytics cookies or tracking technologies. (The invitation-only client portal is different — see “The client portal” below.) If you contact us by email or telephone, we will hold the personal information you provide (such as your name, employer, contact details and the content of your correspondence) for the purpose of responding to your enquiry and conducting any subsequent business relationship. Our lawful bases are legitimate interests and, where applicable, the performance of a contract.

Third-party services

Pages on this site load typefaces from Google Fonts, which may involve your browser requesting files from Google servers. Our email is hosted by a professional business email provider. We do not sell or share personal information for marketing purposes.

The client portal

If you have been invited to our client portal, we process the account details needed to give you access (your name, email address, employer and which software tools you are entitled to use), and we keep a record of your use of those tools. That record is limited to which tool was open and during which minutes — we do not record the values you enter, the calculations you run or their results, and we do not log your IP address for this purpose. We use it only to understand whether the software is useful and to support you, on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service. Usage records are kept for 12 months and then deleted. Your engineering inputs and results are not stored on our servers at all.

Retention and your rights

Correspondence is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal and professional obligations. Under UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. To exercise them, or for any privacy question, contact info@sharma-eng.com.
